UI + UX design, illustration,
fine art + ♡'s mashed potatoes
I’m a Managing UI designer in Chicago, developing medical device user interfaces. Everything from embedded GUI interfaces on hospital and clinic devices, healthcare device associated mobile apps, desktop software, print training material, and video animation and editing. I hold a BFA in Illustration, but have spent the last 15 years in various forms of the design world, currently developing safe and effective medical devices and understanding their associated standards and guidances. I previous spent six years working under artist Carlos Dzine Rolon, as a studio assistant and fabricator. I learned a massive amount of skills, spent countless hours worrying about finite details, and experienced the many facets of the fine art world. Eventually, I took the leap to fulfill my own creativity and pursue a different path. My concentration has been visual design, mixing problem solving, creativity, and empathy all toward a solution to makes people’s lives easier and in some format allow design to improve lives.
